Allan Lee Blansfield

Allan Lee Blansfield of Havre de Grace, MD passed away on April 10^th at the Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center.  He was 75.  He was the husband of the late Betty R. Blansfield.

Mr. Blansfield was born in Havre de Grace, MD to the late William F. and Mildred J. (Hopkins) Blansfield.  He was the devoted father to Steven L. Blansfield, Bryan A. Blansfield, Tracy L. McCartney and Laura A. Pederson.  He was the loving grandfather to Justin & Matthew Blansfield, Tye Thomas, Sheena, Rebecca, Taylor & Jorryn Blansfield, Ashley Christley, Jade Thomas, Monica McCartney, Cheyanna Wilde, Jessica Llewellyn, Brianna and Brook Pedersen.  He was the Great Grandfather to Alyssa Haynie and Collin McCauly.

Mr. Blansfield was a retired from the United States Navy after more than 26 years of service. He served in the Vietnam War.  He also retired from many years of service for AMTRAK as a carpenter.  He was a member of the Havre de Grace American Legion Post #47 and the Havre de Grace VFW.  He enjoyed reading, hunting and fishing.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, April 15, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 11 A.M. also at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A.

Officiating services will be Rev. Edward Heydt
