Obituary for Kelly Freeman Keck

Kelly Freeman Keck, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on March 13, 2014. He was 39.
Mr. Keck was born in West Liberty, Kentucky to Jack Freeman Keck and Sandra Spencer Sharp. He was the husband of Oxana Keck for 10 years, loving father of Zoya Kelly Keck, and dear brother of Elliott “Spencer” Keck of Virginia Beach, VA, Peter Matthew Kellogg of Fort Hood, TX, and Wendy Kellogg of Litchfield, KY.
Mr. Keck served in the U.S. Marines for four years; he then finished his education, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree from Morehead State University. After receiving his degree, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in Afghanistan, where he received a Purple Heart. He worked at Aberdeen Proving Ground with the Equal Opportunity Employment Office. He was a member of the American Legion Post 47 and the VFW Post 8126. His hobbies included model airplanes, football, baseball, fishing and woodworking.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 18, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 19, at 1:00 PM, at the funeral home. Pastor Corey Sharpe will officiate. Interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
