Helen Ray Stanley, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on September 14, 2014. She was 79.
Mrs. Stanley was born in West Jefferson, NC, to Howard Thomas Graybeal and Mary Elizabeth Ray. She was the devoted wife of the late Basil Duke Stanley, loving mother of Steven G. Stanley and his companion Mary Anne; Michael A. Stanley and his companion Carmen, Robert Kohlbus and Sherry Kohlbus McGonigal. She is survived by her grandchildren, Amy Ewing, Amber Stanley, Thomas Stanley, Amy Baldwin, and Crystal Rozek, Tami Johnson, Tanya Clark, Ashley Diehl and great-grandchildren, Jamie, Triston, James, Brian, Tykeem, Gi’Onna, Chase, Tyler, Bill, Faith, Karleigh, Madison, Travis, Jr., Hannah, Kylee, Madelyn, and Mason. She was the dear sister of Ruth Ann Rash, Margaret Ashby and Betty Specker.
Mrs., Stanley worked for the Harford County Public Schools from 1969-1999, She loved working on her farm and taking care of her family. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, and flowers. She was a mother to many.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2014 from 7-9 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014, at the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Interment will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens. Pastor Donnie Smith will officiate.
