Carl Dulaney  Lucas
Carl Dulaney Lucas, of Aberdeen, MD, passed away on December 31, 2017. He was 82.
Mr. Lucas was born in Havre de Grace, MD, to Blaine Jackson Lucas and Emma Elizabeth Gifford Lucas. He was the devoted husband of 58 years of Jane Wray Lucas, loving father of Mary Jane Lucas Silver (Frank) of Havre de Grace, MD, Carl Blaine Lucas (Tamara) of Bel Air, MD, Daniel Dulaney Lucas (Debra) of Ocala, FL, and the late Shirley Diane Lucas Huitt (Mark). He was the adored grandfather of Joseph Lopez (Lisa), Amanda Hamrick, Courtney Burton (Jon), Caitlin Gallaher (Joey), Zachary Lucas, Jessica Lucas (Paul), Andrew Huitt, Amy Moore (Kevin), and Chase Lucas, and great-grandfather of 12 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Joann Tessa and the late Shirley Greene.
Mr. Lucas was a graduate of the Havre de Grace High School Class of 1955. He served in the U.S. Army for two years and then the National Guard. Mr. Lucas worked as a printer for several newspapers, the longest being the Baltimore Sun. He loved watching sports and was an avid Baltimore Orioles and Ravens fan. He especially enjoyed being with his family.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018, at 11:00 AM, at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Rock Run Cemetery.
