Obituary for Jerry Lewis Bowman
Jerry L. Bowman of Aberdeen, MD passed away at home on June 16, 2018. He was 63. He was the devoted father of David J. Bowman.
Mr. Bowman was born in Havre de Grace, MD to the late B. Davis and A. Jean (Walls) Bowman. He was the loving brother of Shirley Perry, Cathy S. Sumner, Jimmy L. Bowman, Donald W. Bowman and the late Ronald R. Bowman. Mr. Bowman is survived by many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beloved dog "Stanley".
Mr. Bowman was a graduate of Aberdeen High School and was the owner of Bowman’s Automotive in Havre de Grace, MD. He enjoyed Racing and rebuilding cars, antique cars and working on cars. He was an avid fan of the old NASCAR.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD 21078. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 11 A.M. at Wesleyan Chapel United Methodist Cemetery, 409 North Paradise Road, Aberdeen, MD 21001.
Officiating will be Cole Hawkins.
Interment will be held at the Wesleyan Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Bowman loved animals and recused many. In Lieu of flowers, friends and family may make donations to the Humane Society of Harford County, 2208 Connolly Road, Fallston, MD 21047, Maryland SPCA, 3300 Falls Road, Baltimore, MD 21211 or Luna’s House, 2801 Pulaski Highway, Edgewood, MD 21040.
