Dr. Gabriel Santiago Perdomo

Dr. Gabriel Santiago Perdomo, passed away on January 16, 2012. He was 81.

He was born in Sahagun, Colombia, SA, to Luis G. Perdomo and Amada Aldana Perdomo.

He was the devoted husband of 53 years to Gladys Mabel Perdomo, the loving father of Nicolas Gabriel Perdomo of Austin, TX, Luis Gabriel Perdomo of Havre de Grace, MD, Lorenzo Jose Perdomo of Abingdon, MD, and Cielo Isabel Perdomo of Houston, TX. He was the adored grandfather of four grandchildren. He was also survived by two sisters and predeceased by four sisters.

Dr. Perdomo began his career as an Ear, Nose and Throat doctor in Baltimore, MD, working at Union Memorial Hospital and University of Maryland Medical Center. Later, after attending a physician’s conference in Havre de Grace, he fell in love with the town and moved his practice to Havre de Grace and also worked at Harford Memorial Hospital and as a consultant for Perry Point VAMC. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. His favorite hobby was raising and showing exotic canaries.

A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Thursday, January 19, at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 615 Congress Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD, 21078. Father William J. O’Brien will officiate.
