Esther Irma Smith

Esther Irma Smith, of Havre de Grace, died on Wednesday, January 14, at CitizensCareCenter. She was 86.

Mrs. Smith was born in Savage, Maryland to the late William B. and Esther Waskey Reeley.

She was the devoted wife of the late Henry Donald Smith. She was the loving mother of Mark Donald and Kathleen Smith of Havre de Grace, Maryland. She was the adored grandmother of Karsten M. and Karen Smith of King George, VA, Rebecca M. Smith of Annapolis, MD, Gladys Miranda of Belcamp, MD and Laura Miranda of Havre de Grace, MD. She was the dear sister to Martha Gay Athey of Elkridge, MD.

Mrs. Smith retired from the Elkridge National Bank as a head cashier. She was a member of the National Bank Association of Bank Women. She served with the Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years. She was also a life member of SavageMethodistChurch.

A viewing will be held on Friday, January 16, from 6-8 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD 21078. A viewing will also be held on Saturday, January 17, from 12:00-1:00 PM, in the Chapel at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc., 7250 Washington Blvd., Elkridge, MD21075. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 PM.

Along with flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1599 Clifton Road NE, Atlanta, GA, 30329.
