Margie Lucy Cole
Margie Lucy Cole, of Havre de Grace, MD, died March 14th at her home after a long battle with breast cancer. She was 87,
She was born October 15, 1923 in Havre de Grace to the late Thomas B. and Leona Z. Thoene (Turner). She graduated from Havre de Grace
High School. Upon graduation, she was employed for 42 years as a secretary at the APG
Ordinance
School. After a brief retirement, she returned to work as a secretary at a law firm in Bel Air for 10years.
She is survived by a son, Todd Cole and wife Debbie of Rising Sun, a daughter Arlene Grace and husband Charles of Havre de Grace, a grandson, Chris Walmsley of Rising Sun, granddaughter, Mercedes Pruitt and her husband Brian of Havre de Grace, and a great grandson, Sebastion Pruitt of Havre de Grace. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles W, Cole and a sister, Ada Burchette.
She will be fondly remembered as a lively and loving person who was truly devoted to her family and her intense love of animals.
A graveside ceremony will be private. Pastor Ed Heydt will officiate.
