Marie Agnes Dresser

Marie Agnes Dresser of Havre de Grace, Maryland, passed away on March 8, 2010. She was 95.
She was born in Everett, Massachusetts to the late Lewis F. Dresser and the late Ellen J. Shea.
She graduated from Immaculate Conception
Grammar School in Everett, Massachusetts and from EverettHigh School.
After graduation Miss Dresser began her career in the Chemical Procurement Division of the Department of the Army in Boston. From Boston she went to Japan and worked there for two years during the Occupation. She often spoke of her flights to and from Japan in a cargo plane. After her return to the U.S. she worked for several years in the Bronx, New York. She then spent the rest of her career until her retirement at the Edgewood Arsenal in Maryland.
She is survived by her niece Marjorie E. Sears of North Andover, MA and her nephews William R. Dresser of Martinez, GA and Lewis Dresser of Everett, MA. She was the dear sister of Lewis F. Dresser of Malden , MA and the late Herbert "Buddy" Dresser, Edward A. Dresser, Fred S. Dresser and Joseph F. Dresser.
Miss Dresser was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Young at Hearts Club of Havre de Grace, MD. She led an active social life and met daily with many friends for coffee and breakfast. She was a giving person and was happy to support many charities. Trips to Atlantic City were often on her agenda. She was also an avid and expert crossword puzzler.
Miss Dresser will be buried at HolyCrossCemetery in Malden, Massachusetts. Contributions may be made in her name to St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 615 Congress Ave., Havre de Grace, MD 21078.
