Connie Lee Marshall, of Aberdeen, passed away on Wednesday, January 28. She was 50 years old.
She was born in Havre de Grace, Maryland. She was the loving husband of Robert B. Marshall, IV for 19 years. She was the dear sister to Charles L. Jewell of Port Deposit, William Richard Jewell of Aberdeen, and the late William Arthur Jewell. She is survived by her Mother-in-law, Isabelle Marshall, of Aberdeen, an Aunt, Cynthia Schneider of Aberdeen, an Uncle Charles Cook and his wife Barbara of Middletown, DE, several cousins, and 7 nieces and 5 nephews, and several brother and sister-in-laws. She was predeceased by her mother, Barbara Lee (Cook) Jewell and her father-in-law, Robert B. Marshall, III.
When she was younger, she enjoyed playing softball. She also won several trophies for drag racing. She worked in the local banking industry from the late 70’s until 1990, and was head teller at the Havre de Grace branch of Harford Bank during the late 80’s. In 1990 she left the bank to go to work with her husband managing Harford Lanes in Aberdeen. She was a member of the United States Bowling Congress, Harford County Women’s Bowling Association, and the Bowling Proprietors’ Association of America. She traveled often with her husband to help conduct national bowling tournaments such as the National Family tournament.
She was also an avid bowler herself. Among her accomplishments were several tournament titles including two Harford Invitationals, the Harford High Rollers, several HCWBA championship tournament team titles and several HCWBA Challenge of Champions titles. Twice she had the high game in Harford Co. for women and once the high series, which included her high game of 298, the highest game ever at the time for a woman in the history of Harford Lanes. She bowled several 700 series with a high of 720. She also was awarded the HCWBA Secretary of the Year award.
A viewing will be held on Monday, February 2, from 3-5 and 7-9 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD 21078. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 3, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Pastor Ed Heydt will officiate. Interment will be held at BelAirMemorialGardens. Pallbearers will be Charles L. Jewell, William R. Jewell, Brett C. Jewell, Wade Schneider, Wm. Cory Marshall, and Kevin A. Marshall.
