Raymond J Burroughs, 81 of Havre de Grace, Maryland, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Cornerstone Hospice at The Villages in Florida on 2/10/2010. He was retired from General Motors, a past President of the Groveville Senior Citizens Club, a member of both Team Philadelphia and Team Maryland at the U.S. Transplant Olympics and a charter member of the Men’s Auxiliary of VFW Post 8126, Havre de Grace, Maryland. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary J. Burroughs. He is survived by his sons and their wives, Raymond A. and Michele Burroughs of Davenport, FL and Thomas M. and Tracey Burroughs of Havre de Grace, MD; five grandchildren, Lisa, Joseph, and Andrew Burroughs in FL and Krystal and Raymond Burroughs in MD; Brother-in-laws Anthony Jeannette and wife Clara, Anthony Santaniello and wife Jackie and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A viewing will be held on Monday, February 15, from 5-8 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Additional services will be held at Brenna Funeral Home located in Trenton, NJ. A visitation will be held in New Jersey on Wednesday, February 17, 6 to 9 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 18 also at the Brenna Funeral Home.
Interment will be held at the Our Lady of the Lourdes in Hamilton Township, New Jersey.
