Obituary for Alan Robert Pentz
Alan R. Pentz, of Havre de Grace, MD passed away at his home, surrounded by the love of his family on June 1, 2022. He was 69 years old and the devoted husband of Eleanor M. (Zink) Pentz for 45 years.
Born in Havre de Grace, MD he was the son of the late Robert S. and Virginia L. (Butler) Pentz. He was the loving father of Nick Alan Pentz (Andrea R.) and Kevin Matthew Pentz; adoring grandfather of Maxwell Nicholas Pentz and Olivia Andrea Pentz; brother of Scott L. Pentz (Kelly) and was survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Pentz was a graduate of Havre de Grace High School, where he went on to Harford Community College to receive his RN in Nursing, he continued his education at Notre Dame College for his BSN in Nursing and finished at Central Michigan University for a Master’s degree in Hospital Administration. Alan spent many years pursuing his love of nursing, caring, and advocating for others at the Fallston General Hospital. He also worked at Maryland General Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital, where he retired. Upon retirement, he enjoyed visiting the lighthouse, people watching and spending time with his family.
A viewing will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022, from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD 21078. Where a funeral service will be held at 12 P.M. Officiating is Rev. Paul Martin from the Havre de Grace Presbyterian Church. Interment will be held at the Harford Memorial Gardens in Aberdeen, MD.
