Obituary for Alfred William Jackson
Alfred W. Jackson of Perryville, MD, passed away on June 18, 2021, at the Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace, MD. He was the devoted fiancé of 20 years to Barbara Thibault.
Born in Havre de Grace, MD to the late James W. and Margaret A. (Kennedy) Jackson. He was the father of Eric Jackson and Kevin Jackson; grandfather of three: brother of Lilly Vicari (Danny), James B. Jackson (Debbie), Peggy Antonow (Rob), Elsie Clay (Chuck), Debbie Balch (Phil) and Gale Thompson (Emory).
Mr. Jackson had retired after many years of service to the Baltimore and Harford County Public Schools and had also worked in food service for the Perry Point V.A. Medical Center. He was a valued Life Member of the Susquehanna Hose Company, where he also enjoyed playing on their softball league, and a former member of the Perryville Legion. He loved trains, bowling and listening to Luciano Pavarotti . He had enjoyed spending as much time as he could fishing, crabbing and bird watching.
Services will be held on Saturday, August 28, from 2-6 PM, at the American Legion, 300 Cherry Street, Perryville, MD 21903.
