Alice “Marie” Bannister Boyd, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on December 27, 2019. She was 100.
Mrs. Boyd was born in Havre de Grace, MD, to Daniel James Gallagher and Maryellen Boyd Gallagher. She was the wife of the late William H. “Harry” Boyd and Ernest Lee Bannister, loving mother of William H. “Bill” Boyd, Jr., Michael P. Boyd, Sr., (the late Alice Boyd), and James “Kevin” Boyd (Sheila), all of Havre de Grace, MD, adored grandmother of Michael P. Boyd, Jr., Deana Marie Boyd, Regina E. Soldner (Jeff), Bethany Richards (John), Gavin Boyd, Erica Boyd, Carly Boyd, Sandra Lynn Boyd, Rosie Marie Lanter (Eddie), and the late Mary Ann Boyd, and great-grandmother of Steffan Boyd, Ashley Worthington, and Ryland Worthington. Mrs. Boyd was the sister of Cecilia Pascuzzi, Rosemary Evans, and the late Margaret Mary Joseph.
Mrs. Boyd was a life member of the American Legion Post 47 and St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. She loved needle point and being with her family.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2019, from 9:30 AM until 10:15 AM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at 11:00 AM, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 615 Congress Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD. Interment will be held at Mt. Erin Cemetery.
