Obituary for Alla Bell Bradley (Bradley)

Alla Bell Bradley of Havre de Grace, MD passed away at home on January 5, 2022, with the love of her life Perry W. Shaffer by her side.
Born in Baltimore, MD to the late James E. Bradley, Sr., and Marie L. (Hughes) Bradley. She is survived by Perry W. Shaffer, II, whom she loved like he was her own son and her precious granddaughters Ellie Shaffer and Heaven Raiber. She was the loving sister of Louise Bradley, James Bradley, III, Kathryn Riddle (Rickey) and the late Elizabeth Bradley; her niece Stacey; nephews Rickey, Bruce, Fred, and the late Robbie; great-niece Mackenzie and great-nephews Ryan, Alex, and Jeffrey. She was predeceased by her beloved Schnauzers “Sammie and Buddy.”
Alla had worked for many years in banking at the Maryland National Bank. After retirement, she worked for private businesses in bookkeeping and clerical. Alla’s most favorite work time spent was with her beloved Perry, assisting him at work with his Plumbing jobs. Alla was a woman of many talents and was always willing to help. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading romance novels by her favorite author Daniel Steele, loved playing shuffleboard at the VFW #8126 in Havre de Grace, MD. She was a member of the American Legion Post #183 and the American Legion Post #47, where she also a Ladies Auxiliary. Alla was a three-time cancer survivor and to her family was one of the strongest people they knew, she never let any of her health weigh her down.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022, from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD. Immediately following a graveside service will be at Harford Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen, MD
