Obituary for Anthony Canami Jr.

In Loving Memory
Anthony “Tony” Canami, Jr. of Aberdeen, Maryland, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2021. Tony was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania on December 8, 1959 to his pre-deceased parents of Anthony Canami, Sr. and Sakae Canami. Tony was, for the most part, a long time resident of Harford County.
Tony attended and graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1978. Tony was involved in many sports which included football and baseball. He was also involved in the Accapella Choir and participated in various clubs. Tony had a host of personal interests that he thoroughly enjoyed and participated in such as skiing, hunting etc. He had a special love of coaching, including coaching his daughter’s softball team. His most special interest of all was his two children. He was a very devoted and loving father to his son and daughter. He played a very active role in their lives. His most recent pride and joy was his newest grandson who was born this year. He truly loved his role as a grandfather.
Tony worked for Aberdeen Proving Ground for many years. He started off as a contractor and eventually became a Federal Employee for ARL. He loved his job function there. He always gave his all when it came to completing a task or tasks.
Tony’s entire life would be too difficult to sum up in this tribute to him. He was known to so many people. He was loved and adored by his family. Tony was definitely a loving and devoted father. He was a man of true integrity, passion and reliability.
Tony is predeceased by his parents, Anthony Canami, Sr. and Sakae Canami; his sister, Theresa Canami Heckrotte; his brother, James (Jim) Louis Canami and niece, Shannon Darnell Canami. He is survived by his children: Joshua Canami and wife Mallory Canami; Jessica Canami, husband Mike Haynie and their son Atlas; sister Margaret C. Wilson and husband William Wilson and their children: William Wilson, Justin Wilson, Tyrease Wilson and Alexis Wilson; sister-in-law Mary Angeline Canami; niece Toniette Canami and her son Marcus Canami; niece Nicole Balzarini and her daughters Mikaela Olson, Noelle Olson, and Sabrina Olson.
