Asa Eugene Cromwell Jr. of Havre de Grace, Md. passed away peacefully on October 6, 2022. He was 25 years old.
Asa was born in Havre de Grace, Md. on October 26, 1996 to Melena Hamm and Asa Cromwell Sr. He was the grandson of Peggy Hamm and Rodney Hamm also Constance Carey and the late James Carey. Asa was preceded in death by his Uncle Robert Hamm and half-brother Kevin Mahan Jr. He is survived by his half-sisters Akira Cromwell, Amaya Cromwell, and Soaphia Cromwell. Asa is also survived by his Aunt Carla Forster, Aunt Nakia Cromwell, Aunt Davina Cromwell, and Aunt Andria Cromwell. As well as Cousins Avina Castro and Aubrianna Bowman.
Asa graduated from Havre de Grace High school in 2015. He was in the Future Link Program from 2015 - 2018 where he met his best friend Shawn Leilich who was more like a brother than a friend. Asa received a Making a Difference award for being positive in the community from Harford County Executive Barry Glassman in 2018.
Asa worked for the Mayor's Office in Havre de Grace and Aberdeen, The Board of Education, and the Harford County Emegency Operations Center.
Asa enjoyed online gaming with his friends and family. He enjoyed going to the movies and was a Baltimore Ravens fan. Asa liked going for rides to get ice cream with his family and Pug Lola regularly.
Asa loved going on vacation on Disney Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Niagara Falls, Western Maryland Railroad, as well as Walt Disney World Florida through The Make A Wish Foundation. Vacationing in Ocean City, Md. Most recently for guys weekend with his gaming family Shawn Smith, Aaron Schorah, Scott Raymond, and Benny Samonte.
Asa was a bright light to all who knew him and will be dearly missed.
A viewing will be held on Saturday October 15, 2022, from 11 am - 1 pm.
Funeral services begin at 1 pm, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A.,123 South Washington Street,
Havre de Grace, MD.
Interment will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens.
