Bereta Victoria Kilby of Aberdeen, MD passed away surrounded by the love of her family on Monday, March 7, 2022. She was the devoted wife of more than 64 years to the late Billy Smith Kilby.
Born in Tacoma, WA to the late Ronald Bechard and Helen K. and Ralph Schmitcke. She was the beloved mother of John William Kilby (Sharon), William Smith Kilby (Gina), and James William Kilby; adoring grandmother of Kaitlyn Victoria Kilby, Makensie Nicole Kilby, Shayna Marie Kilby, Felecia Renee Kilby, William Christian Kilby; great-grandmother of Nathanael, Sophia, and Logan Kilby. Ms. Kilby was predeceased by her brother Ralph Schmitcke and her sister Loretta Bowlin.
Ms. Kilby had retired after many years of working, in sales and administration. She was a talented photographer and enjoyed painting. Ms. Kilby loved to travel, whether it was on a bus trip, a weekend trip away, driving the backroads in Pennsylvania with her husband Billy or visiting Croatia and Greece. She enjoyed the outdoors and nature. Ms. Kilby absolutely loved being with her family, cooking, and baking for them.
A service will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022, at 3:00 PM, at the Kilby Residence, 757 Gilbert Road, Aberdeen, MD 21001.
