Obituary for Doris Ann Kelly (Dodds)
Doris A. Kelly, age 80 of Galloway Township, NJ and Aberdeen, MD bid us farewell on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, surrounded by her family. Born in Chester, Pa, she is the daughter of Edward and Doris Dodds. She grew up in Linwood, PA and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
A resident of Galloway Township for the last 40 years, Doris enjoyed her career as a secretary at Pinelands Regional School District. She was a dedicated member of the Pinelands Education Association and loved her Wildcat family. Doris was an avid sports fan, enjoyed bingo, loved the casino and had a great sense of humor.
Doris is survived by her three children; Joseph T. Kelly, Jr, Kathleen Vezos and partner John Rudik, Karen Kenny and her husband Scott Kenny. Her true lights of her life are her four grandchildren; Kyle Kenny, Zachary Vezos, Madison Kenny and Alex Vezos. She is also survived by her sister Dawn Walls and husband Butch, and her brother William and wife Fay of Pennsylvania and many other wonderful cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She will be reunited with her beloved husband and high school sweetheart Joseph T. Kelly and her siblings Edward P. Dodds, Thomas Dodds, Catherine Brower, and Rosemarie Dodds. A private memorial service will be held in September. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Pinelands Regional Scholarship Fund 590 Nugentown Road, Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.
