Eloise K.  Marlow (Milam)
Eloise K. Marlow, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on November 15, 2017. She was 99.
Mrs. Marlow was born in North Wilkseboro, NC, to Thomas G. Milam and Lydia B. Jennings Milam. She was the devoted wife of the late Ernest Marlow, loving mother of Joyce A. Carroll, Judith L. Tibbs (J. Robert Tibbs, Jr.), Susan E. McIlvaine (James H. McIlvaine), step-mother of Ethel Bloom, and the late Robert Marlow and Betty Jean Yow. She was the grandmother of Wayne Carroll (Malena), Amy S. May (Scott), Alexandra Young (Garrett), Samantha McIlvaine, and Jonathan McIlvaine (Hayley); 8 step-grandchildren; and great-grandmother of Stephen Carroll, Sara Evans (Michael), Lydia May, and Joshua May; 11 step-great grandchildren; and great-great-granddaughter, Emily Evans. Mrs. Marlow is also survived by a step-daughter-in-law, Betty Jean Marlow. She was predeceased by her sister, Gladys Church and by her son-in-law, John F. Carroll and step-son-in-law, Robert Yow.
Mrs. Marlow was a member of First Baptist Church in Havre de Grace. She was a hairdresser in her early years in North Carolina, and later was employed by Bata Shoe Company, and Churchville Elementary School. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels, and at Citizens Care Center. She enjoyed traveling and taking care of others. She was also a skilled pianist.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 1:00 PM, at First Baptist Church in Havre de Grace, 108 South Stokes Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Pastor Ron Smith will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to either Caraway Manor Assisted Living, 2375 Old Fieldpoint Road, Elkton, MD 21921 or Ebenezer Garden Christian Children’s Home, 1006 Byrd Ridge Road, North Wilkseboro, NC, 28659.
