Obituary for Ernest "Ernie" Sadler
Ernest “Ernie” Lloyd Sadler, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on August 14, 2021. He was 83.
Mr. Sadler was born in Street, MD, to Earl Lloyd Sadler and Maude Cox Sadler. He was the devoted husband of 65 years to Janice Sadler, loving father of Jeffrey Lane Sadler (Bonnie), Tina Marie Pruitt (Wayne), Brian Scott Sadler (Meka Wheeler), and the late Leon Sadler (Shelly Sadler). He was the grandfather of Shannon Edwards, Jesse Sadler, Jared Sadler, Stephanie Jolley, Cory Ayers, Ashley White, Nicholas White, Carol Sadler, Andrew Sadler, Shayne Robbins, Jeffrey Robbins, Quinton Robbins, and the late Ian Love, Eric Sadler, and Yvonne Fritsche, great-grandfather of 19, and great-great-grandfather of 1. He was the brother of Mary Smith, Ralph Sadler, and the late Jean Ross, James Ross and May Ross.
Mr. Sadler retired from Boyle Buick as a Body and Fender Technician. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, serving as deacon and song leader in the choir. He was a Captain of Motorcycles for Christ, and was a Kentucky Colonel. He loved hotrods and motorcycles, riding for 72 years. He also loved music.
A viewing will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021, from 6-8 PM, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 3115 Level Road, Churchville, MD 21028. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at 11 AM at church. Pastor Matthew Hodge will officiate. Interment will be at Rock Run Cemetery.
