Obituary for Fred J. Cimo Jr.

Fred J. Cimo, Jr. of Havre de Grace, MD passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. He was the loving husband of the late Kathryn Ann Cimo.
Born in Jersey City, NJ to the late Fred J. Cimo, Sr. and Rose L. (Torrisi) Cimo. He was the
devoted father to Fred J. Cimo, III (Paula), Anthony V. Cimo (Sandy) and
Mary Kay Coughlan (Ken), beloved “Papa” of Madison Bell (Brandon),
Nicholas Cimo, Juliana Cimo, Sarah Coughlan, James Coughlan, Brock Cimo and Jade
Cimo; caring Uncle of Walter and David Dickerhof, Kristen Earp, Richard and Robert Dombrowski, and Marie, Russell, and Ryan Confroy.. He was preceded in death by his sister Maria Dickerhof.
Upon completion of high school, Mr. Cimo furthered his education and received a degree in Chemical Engineering from Newark College of Engineering. Later he earned his Master’s degree in Computer Science from Corpus Christi State University. He worked for many dedicated years at Dupont and eventually became a consultant for EDS working at Bethlehem Steel. He enjoyed solving cryptograms as well as designing and implementing projects, including a train set, computer programs, vegetable gardens, decks, and a basement apartment. He was the forever devoted father who passed on his love of learning to his kids, coached years of soccer, and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD. A Mass will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 10 A.M. at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 615 Congress Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD, officiating Father Francis Ouma. Interment will be at Mt. Erin Cemetery.
