Obituary for George Paul Hardwick

George P. Hardwick of Rising Sun, MD passed away surrounded by the love of his family on December 3, 2022. He was 72 years old and the devoted husband of Janet (Hensley) Hardwick.
Born in Havre de Grace, MD to the late Frederick and Gertrude (Davidson) Hardwick. He was the loving father of Rebecca Merrill (Bobby) and the late George P. Hardwick, Jr., grandfather of Jared Reeves (Julie), Caitlyn Reeves, Ryan Reeves, Hannah Klug, Bobby Merrill, III and Bella Merrill, and great-grandfather of Ariella Reeves. Mr. Hardwick will be missed by many friends, co-workers and especially his family at Bethel Christian Center.
Mr. Hardwick was a veteran of the United States Navy, who served during the Vietnam war. After his commitment in the United States Navy, he worked and retired after many years from Aberdeen Proving Ground as a Boiler Operator. He gave freely of himself to his church Bethel Christian Center, serving as an Usher and ground maintenance. He was always meticulous and organized in whatever he chose to do, he loved science fiction and watching documentaries relating to that topic. He enjoyed any word games and the challenges they presented. Mr. Hardwick supported and was devoted to the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, Wounded Warriors and was a member of the JACOB club.
A viewing will be held at the Bethel Christian Center, 21 North Earlton Rd. Ext., Havre de Grace, MD 21078 on December 8, 2022 at 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. Where a funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. Officiating is Pastor Jonathan Flosser.
Interment and Military honors will be given at Harford Memorial Gardens, 3839 Aldino Rd, Aberdeen, MD.
