Obituary for Gordon Martin
Gordon Martin "Gordy" of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on December 8, 2020 with his wife at his side. He was 59.
Mr. Martin was born in Havre de Grace, MD, to Late Elwood Martin, Sr., and Late Beulah Temple Martin. He was the devoted husband of Hazel Martin, loving father of Jessica Ratliff (Izzie), Joshua Spies, Anna Martin and his Chocolate Lab Mia. He was the grandfather of Waylon Meile, Abigail Spies, Bentley Spies and Natalie Spies. Mr. Martin was the brother of Elwood “Buddy” Martin, Jr., (Late Janie), Bessie Barton (Late Bill), Gerald “Jerry” Martin (Judy), James “Jimmy” Martin, Sr., (Teresa), Benjamin “Benny” Martin, Sr., (Debbie), Joseph “Joey” Martin (Janet), Esther Braden (Charlie), Robert “Animal” “Bobby” Martin, (late Carol), Mary Whitt (Billy), and the late Katie Hemling (Paul), Libby Martin, Anna Shaffer (Roy), Linda “Dee” Wingler (Walter), Deborah “Debbie” Hutchins (Ken), and Geraldine “Geri” Griffin (Tony).
Mr. Martin was a dedicated employee of Allan Myers where he worked as a Field Manager.
He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, hunting, going to “Turkey Shoots”, bingo and family card nights. He loved spending time with family and friends and was extremely proud of his 1968 Mustang.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2020, from 1-5PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will be Livestreamed via Facebook @ZellmanFuneralHomeP.A.
