Obituary for James B. Dryden
James Brice Dryden, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on August 2, 2021. He was 74.
Mr. Dryden was born in Pokomoke City, MD, to Allen Brice Dryden and Marian Leigh Dryden.
Mr. Dryden was the devoted husband of 53 years to Nancy Dryden, loving father of Shannon Albert, and grandfather of Cassidy and Collin Albert. He was the brother of Mark Dryden and the late Donald Dryden. He was predeceased by his father and brother.
Mr. Dryden was a principal for Harford County Public Schools and also an Executive Director for the Maryland Association of Elementary School Principals. He was a Life Member and former President of the Havre de Grace Lions Club, a member of the Citizens Against Trash Club in Havre de Grace, MD, and a member of the Friends of the Concord Point Lighthouse.
Mr. Dryden loved spending time with his family, especially at his home on the Nanticoke, fishing, crabbing, and boating. He was an avid golfer. Mr. Dryden enjoyed people and being out in his community.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021, from 10AM until 12 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM, at Harford Memorial Gardens, 3839 Aldino Road, Aberdeen, MD.
