James Ronald Meehan


James Ronald Meehan, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on December 28, 2012, in the presence of family, he was 65 years old.

He was born in Baltimore, MD, to the late Thomas G. Meehan and Sarah L. Greene Meehan on January 27, 1947.
Mr. Meehan was the devoted husband of the late Kathleen Frances Baker Meehan. He was the loving father of Thomas J. Meehan and Erin Bieniek of Havre de Grace, MD, and Jonathan J. Meehan and his wife Jennifer Garner Meehan of Perryville, MD. He was also the adored grandfather of Thomas Wesley Meehan, Jarred Michael Meehan, Kathleen Ann Meehan and Quintin Garner Meehan. He was the dear brother of Joseph R. Meehan and Mary Lee Edler of Havre de Grace, MD.

Mr. Meehan retired from BGE, where he worked as a meter reader. He loved spending time with his family throughout the holidays, camping trips to the state park, and summer vacations to the beach. One of his famous sayings to his beloved wife and two sons was “Quality Time”. Family was the thing that mattered most to him. His hobbies included reading, watching old movies, and anything that involved history. He enjoyed delivering gifts and dinners on the holidays to those in need for numerous years and expressed the joy it brought to him to help others. He touched the hearts of many people in his life and will be forever remembered for his kind and caring heart.

A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at 10:00 AM, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 615 Congress Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD.
