In Loving Memory of Jean Redfearn

Havre de Grace, MD - Jean Redfearn, a beloved individual known for her kind heart, unwavering dedication, and immense love for education, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2024, at the age of 88.
Born on June 15, 1935, in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Jean's journey in life was marked with grace and compassion. With her warm spirit and friendly demeanor, she touched the lives of countless individuals, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.

Jean's passion for education led her to a fulfilling career as a Teacher Assistant with Harford County Public Schools. She dedicated herself to shaping the minds of young students, always going the extra mile to provide support and guidance. Jean's colleagues, as well as students, recognized her for her patience, empathy, and unwavering commitment to nurturing the next generation.

Beyond her professional life, Jean cherished her role as a mother, wife, and grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was a loving and devoted spouse to her beloved husband the late John "Jack" Redfearn. Together, they created a loving home filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished memories. Jean's love and guidance extended to her son Geoff Redfearn, daughter-in-law Terri Redfearn, and her cherished grandchildren Stephanie Murdock (Chris), Trisha Bohl (Nick), and Stacey Altland (Mike), and adored seven great-grandchildren. Her family was truly her pride and joy, and they will forever cherish the love she showered upon them.

Remembered for her genuine interest in the lives of others, Jean believed in the power of friendship and community. She will be deeply missed by her friends, neighbors, and all who had the privilege of knowing her infectious smile and kind-hearted nature.

A celebratory visitation from 12 P.M. to 1 P.M. with a funeral service at 1 P.M. to honor Jean's beautiful life will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Friends and family are invited to join together in sharing stories, memories, and celebrating the profound impact she had on all of our lives.
