JoAnn Swann



JoAnn Swann of Havre de Grace, MD passed away on June 20, 2013 at the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, MD. She was 75.

JoAnn was born in Havre de Grace, MD to the late William K. and Evelyn Davis Richardson. She was the devoted wife to James H. Swann.

JoAnn was the devoted mother to Lawrin Walker and her husband Scott, the late Donna L. Swann, Debra L. Swann and Diana G. Swann. She is survived by her sister Beverly Pelton. She was predeceased by her brother William K. Richardson, Jr. and her sister Nesta Costanza.

JoAnn retired with 20 years of Civil Service from Aberdeen Proving Ground in 2003. She was very active in the Havre de Grace Elk’s Lodge, where she enjoyed spending time with her good friends. She also contributed to most of the seasonal decorations at the Lodge. She enjoyed going on the annual Atlantic City bus trip with the Elk’s Lodge as well. She enjoyed going to McGregor’s for lunch to play Keno. She loved Philadelphia Flyers Ice Hockey and she enjoyed watching the Orioles and Ravens games, NASCAR Racing, Bull Riding and QVC.

A viewing will be held on Monday, June 24, 2013 from 6 to 8 P.M. at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 11 A.M. at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A.

Officiating will be Pastor Norman Obenshain.

Interment will be held at Angel Hill Cemetery.
