Obituary

Kenneth Lee Strong Sr., of Aberdeen, MD, son of the late Carrie L. Wilson, raised by the late Norman R. Strong and Annie E. Strong, passed away on December 28, 2019. He was 71.

Kenny is survived by his loving wife Jenny Strong of 47 years. Beloved father to Kenneth “JR” Strong and his wife Kristina of Havre de Grace, MD and William “Rocky” Strong and his wife Diane of Conowingo, MD.
Cherished grandfather of Kenneth L. Strong III, Nick Simons, Noah Strong, Jasmyn Strong, Verna Blakeley, Hannah Strong, Zachery Strong, Brandon Strong, Lyric Strong and great granddaughter Sophia Simons.
Brother, Michael Strong and wife Jeanetta of Bel Air MD, sister, Debbie Timko, of Louisiana and good friend Mary Campbell of Aberdeen, MD. Predeceased by his brother James Ile and sister Caroline Davis.

Kenny was dedicated to his employment at MdTA for 41 years. He retired in April of 2010. Kenny enjoyed retirement by spending countless hours with his grandchildren, playing cards and putting puzzles together with family and his good friend. He also enjoyed fishing, bowling, Nascar, wrestling, 49ers football and the New York Yankees baseball team. Kenny was active in the Havre de Grace Little League in the 1980’s, where he was a coach, manager and umpire.

After complications from a back surgery in September of 2019, Kenny spent time in between hospitals and rehabilitation centers. He passed away peacefully at home with his family and good friend by his side.
