Obituary for Lawrence Joseph Schreiber

Lawrence Joseph Schreiber, of Aberdeen, MD, passed away on January 24, 2023. He was 89 years old.

Mr. Schreiber was born in Eckhart, Maryland, to Joseph F. Schreiber and Clara R. Condry Schreiber. He was the devoted husband of 65 years to Rita Gertrude Schreiber. He was the loving father of William L. Schreiber (Mary Kay) of Portland, OR, Michelle D. Muehlenkamp (Phil), of Aberdeen, MD, Lauren M. Lugo (Angel) of Chattanooga, TN, Anna-Marie Emmi (John) of Millsboro, DE, and Craig A. Schreiber (Beth) of Hickory, NC, grandfather of Jordan Schreiber, Meagan Schreiber-Dillavou, Joel Schreiber, Paul Muehlenkamp, Caitlin Muehlenkamp, Dan Lugo, Brandi Lester, Alex Lugo, and Marc Sponaugle, Marvin Sponaugle, Tiffany Banks, Michael Sponaugle, and Clayton Schreiber. He had 10 great-grandchildren, and was the brother of Patricia Bonanno, and the late Bernard L. Schreiber and Mary Jo Minnick.

Mr. Schreiber went to school at St. Michael School in Frostburg, MD, and graduated from LaSalle High School in Cumberland, MD. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He retired from Frostburg Dental Laboratory in 1994. Mr. Schreiber was an avid cribbage player. He coached his children in youth sports, volunteered for his church, and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and Notre Dame football. He loved spending time with his family.

Services for Mr. Schreiber will be private.
