Lester Paul Culley, of Darlington, MD, passed away on January 30, 2020. He was 90.
Mr. Culley was born in Conowingo, MD, to Theodore Culley and Carrie Jones Culley. He as the devoted father of Sharon Hawkins (George Hawkins, Jr.), of Darlington, MD, Larry Guthrie (Diana) of North East, MD, Linda Moore (James Richard Moore), Old Hickory, TN, and Stephen Culley of Havre de Grace, MD. Mr. Culley was also survived by 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Catherine Jones, Shirley Poole, and the late Clyde, Russell, James and Richard Culley, Elsie Freeman, and Frieda Peck.
Mr. Culley worked at Aberdeen Proving Ground as a Test Gunner Foreman. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of American Legion Post 47, serving on their Honor Guard for several years. He was an avid woodworker and Decoy Carver, known for his decoys, furniture and gazebos. Mr. Culley was also an integral part of “Sunday Mornings”, where he led fellowship with his friends.

A service will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at 2 PM, at Harford Memorial Gardens in the Mausoleum Chapel, 3839 Aldino Road, Aberdeen, MD 21001.
