Obituary for Lillian Leona Griffin (Fondren)
Lillian Leona Griffin, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on May 25, 2022. She was 76.
Mrs. Griffin was born in Batesville, Mississippi, to Edward Fondren and Erdie Odessie Green Fondren. She was the loving mother of Christian Griffin (Jessica), Jan-Michael Miller (Crystal), Cheyn Miller-Bray (Angela), Nicholas Miller (Jillian), and the late Sean Griffin, grandmother of Alysa Mae Kaptain, Torin Griffin, Katelynn Selchert, Max Miller, Isabella Miller, Reid Miller, Deasean Griffin, and Cree Jacobs, and great-grandmother of Autumn Chaney, Janise St. Bernard, Hope Martin, Izayah Martin, Taliyah Polley, Akeema Polley, and Kaine Polley. She was the sister of Daurris Robinson, Edward “Eddie” Fondren, George Green, Willie Green and the late Richard Green and Emma Jean Green. Mrs. Griffin is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mrs. Griffin served in the U.S. Air Force for 2 years. She was a librarian at Harford Community College, then a daycare provider. Mrs. Griffin was a faithful member of Word of Faith Outreach. She loved praying and going to church and was known for her baking, especially her cookies.
A viewing will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022, from 6-8 PM, and on Saturday, June 4, 2022, from 11-12, at Word of Faith Outreach, 1301 Loflin Road, Aberdeen, MD 21001. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at 12:00 PM, at Word of Faith Outreach.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Word of Faith Outreach.
