Obituary for Lisa Larae Armstrong-Yim (Armstrong)

Mrs. Lisa Larae Armstrong-Yim passed away on December 20, 2021, at the Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace, MD. She was the beloved wife of 32 years to Ho Y. Yim and loved him dearly.

Mrs. Armstrong-Yim was a devoted wife, daughter, sister, and friend. “She had the most beautiful smile that could light up your soul;” “She loved her family and friends without judgement, and with an open heart. She was selfless and would help anyone in need.”

She was born in Radford, VA to Judith E. (Lynch) Armstrong and the late Harvey R. Armstrong. She was a graduate of Towson University and received her master’s degree at Loyola University. She was the loving sister of Suzette Renee Armstrong and is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Lisa loved reading and would spend hours getting lost in a book. She loved to travel, taking unplanned road trips with her husband, she loved the mountains and the ocean. She loved shopping, fashion, the musician David Bowie, the actress Marilyn Monroe, and her beloved animals. Her heart had no bounds, she devoted her life to her “kids” that she worked with in various public-school systems, working with the disabled, working with all children, and volunteering countless hours to help others with her generous heart. She was the loving mother to her cats “Indi” and “Elizabeth” and the late “Aspen” and “Persie.”

When you think of Lisa, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is a gift and should be lived to the fullest.
