Obituary for Mary Ann Calcagno (Crimi)

Mary Ann Calcagno of Havre de Grace, MD passed peacefully on Sunday, October 6, 2013. The youngest of seven children and the only daughter of the late Santa (Bua) and Gaetano Crimi, she was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 15, 1934. After marrying Vincent Joseph Calcagno, the couple moved to Havre de Grace in 1960. Pre-deceased by her husband (1979), Mary worked as the office manager for a medical anesthesiologist group. She enjoyed time spent with "The Girls" and her family. She loved traveling the world, whether to Italy with family, Florida with friends or places in between with the Blue Bus Group. Many memories were made with holidays and vacations in Ocean City, MD.
Mary is pre-deceased by her brothers Angelo, Sal, Tommy, and Charlie and sisters-in-law Bertha, Dot, Mary and Audrey. After a full and satisfying life, Mary is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Vincent Jr. and Ellie Calcagno (Robbinsville, NJ), John Calcagno and Jenny (Havre de Grace) and Eddie Calcagno and Kim (Havre de Grace); her brothers and sisters-in-law Nick and Louise Crimi (Florida), Joe Crimi (Florida), Pat Crimi (Florida) and Emma Crimi (NY). Her grandchildren Michael, Patrick, Matthew and Meghan Calcagno (Robbinsville, NJ) and Eddie, Jr. and Tony Calcagno (Havre de Grace) will sadly miss her "Grandma Meatballs." Aunt Mary is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Mary was a great role model whose words and strength will be cherished always.
A viewing will be on Friday, October 11th from 3-5pm and 7-10pm at the Zellman Funeral Home, 123 S Washington St, Havre de Grace. A Mass of Resurrection will be held Saturday, October 12th at 11:00am at The Church of St Patrick Catholic Church, 615 Congress Avenue, Havre de Grace. Interment will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens.
