Mary Isabel Patterson Schweers, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on August 17, 2013. She was 76 years old. She was born in Perryville, MD, to the late Melvin Duffy Patterson, Sr., and Jane Barnes Patterson. She was the late wife of Herman Nicholas Schweers. She was the loving mother of Herman Nicholas “Buddy” Schweers and his wife Luanne of Havre de Grace, MD, Kathryn Elizabeth “Kerri” Pierre and her husband Michel of Port Deposit, MD, Brian Duffy Schweers and his fiancé Robin of Stevensville, MD, William Francis “Billy” Schweers of Memmingen, Germany and Stacey Lynn Nelson and her husband Friday. She was the adored grandmother of Patrick, Jenifer, Brandy, Larra, Ashley, Brian, Nicholas, Michele, Gina, Autumn and Rayne. She was the great-grandmother of eight. She was the dear sister of Melvin “Duffy” Patterson, Jr., Peggy Phillips, Sue Morningstar and the late Eleanor Cole. Mrs. Schweers was a member of the Susquehanna Hose Company Ladies’ Auxiliary. She was an avid Ravens fan. She loved making crafts and taking care of her family. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 11 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Angel Hill Cemetery. Pastor Edward Heydt will officiate. Pallbearers will be Friday Nelson, Michel Pierre, Brian Schweers, Jr., Nicholas Schweers, Joe Tyler, Joe Nabb, Patrick Schweers and Orion Nelson. Cody Tyler Fidler will be an honorary pallbearer.
