Nancy L. Carlile of Havre de Grace, MD passed away with the love of her family, on October 11, 2022 at the Forest Hill Heights. She was 86 years old and the devoted wife of the late Robert J. Carlile.
Born in Havre de Grace, MD to the late Delbert McCoy and Mary Janice (Rogers) Hawkins. She was the loving mother of Donna L. Carlile and the late Robert L. Carlile, sister of Margo DeBaugh and was predeceased by her siblings the late Betty Rogers, Loretta Blanche Thompson, Danny McCoy, Ronald McCoy, and Joan Pack.
Ms. Carlile had worked for the Harford County Public Schools as an assistant bus driver. She was an avid reader of books, she loved the smell of books and would read any genre but enjoyed history, memoires, and mysteries. Ms. Carlile enjoyed planting her flowers every season, gardening and filling her flowerpots with beautiful, colorful flowers. She enjoyed taking long car rides in the country, talking to her neighbors, being outdoors with her family and friends. She had enjoyed crocheting when she was younger, dancing and was self-taught to play the guitar, while singing. Ms. Carlile loved her beloved dogs that had predeceased her and had just recently asked to get another dog to love.
A viewing will be held on October 18, 2022 from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD 21078, where a funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. Immediately following will be a graveside service at the Rock Run Cemetery, 4102 Rock Run Rd., Havre de Grace, MD
