Obituary for Nitin Manohar Moholkar
Nitin Manohar Moholkar of Havre de Grace, MD passed away unexpectedly on May 23, 2020 at the Harford Memorial Hospital.
He was born in India, but raised in Sayreville, NJ. He is survived by his parents Raju and Nisha Moholkar. He was the loving brother and brother-in-law of Ashish and Elise Moholkar. He was the devoted uncle of Sydney, Adam, and Paige Moholkar. He was deeply loved by his many other nieces and nephews, as well as his large extended family. All the kids couldn’t wait to play with him and fought for his attention. Everyone wanted to sit next to him at the dinner table.
Nitin graduated as the salutatorian from Sayreville War Memorial High School. He continued with his education at Johns Hopkins University. He was an absolutely brilliant man, earning his PhD in biomechanical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. As smart and talented as he was, he enjoyed conversations that ranged from complex math to comic books and cartoons. He knew every funny movie line and could weave them into everyday conversation. He enjoyed all outdoor activities like skiing and biking, but particularly looked forward to his weekly trivia night gatherings.
He was a devoted family man, who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He had the kindest heart and infectious personality. He spread happiness to all who knew him.
