Obituary for Patricia Ann Brink (Gallagher)

Patricia Ann (Gallagher) Brink, aged 91. Daughter of Martin and Helen (Sumegi) Gallagher, beloved wife of the late D. Duane Brink. A Cleveland native, Patsy grew up in Ohio City and Collinwood during the Great Depression and WW2. She graduated from Villa Angela Academy, before marrying and raising her family. After many years of rural life in Mantua, she and Duane moved back to civilization to own and operate first the D&P Tavern on Aurora Rd in Bedford Heights and then Farmer’s D&P Tavern at Rt. 84 and Madison Road in Painesville. Later, she was a bookkeeper at The Deepwood Center in Mentor before she and Duane retired and moved to South Carolina. She spent the last ten years living in Havre de Grace, Maryland with her son, Duane. Her daughter Sandra cared for her in her final days. Predeceased by her parents, her sister Winifred, her husband Duane, and one son, Terry Brink (Luisa). Survived by her daughter Sandra Popovich (Nicholas, deceased), her son Duane Brink (Kathryn), three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Interment at Mt. Erin Cemetery will take place at a later date.
