Obituary for Raymond James Crownover

Raymond J. Crownover of Sparta, TN passed away on October 21, 2021, at his home. He was the devoted husband of Patricia A. Crownover and was 67 years old.
Born in Havre de Grace, MD, he was the son of Max and Willie Katherine (Whitaker) Crownover. He was the beloved brother of Charles “Chuck” Crownover, Thomas “Tommy” Crownover and Carolyn Pomeroy. He is survived by his sisters-in-law Betty Lownsberry (Marvin), and Ginger Waldrop (Tony). He was the loving uncle of Scott Stout (Jen), Tricia Polk, Tony Waldrop, Jr., Timothy Waldrop (Juli), Alexis Crownover (Jordan), Chelsea Crownover, Jacob Crownover, June Woody, Nina Pomeroy (Robbie Blakeley), Tonya Johnson (Kevin) Sandy Warren (Ronald), and the late Danny Walls, He was the devoted great uncle to Aubry Stout, Shannon Polk, Eric “Bubba” Polk, II, Ben Rudd, Levi Waldrop, Emmersyn Crownover, Bentley Crownover, Rebecca Bibey, Hailey Blakeley, Sara, Morgan, Michael, Alyssa, Elijah, Savannah Johnson, and Aaliyah, Isis, Ymani, Amera and Kato Warren.
Mr. Crownover was extremely ambitious from early on; he was a part owner of Hookers Sunoco and Performance Specialty Speed shop. He also worked at the Aberdeen Proving Ground and Edgewood Arsenal for the Department of Public Works and after many years of dedicated service, he retired and moved to Tennessee with the love of his life, his “Baby doll.” Mr. Crownover loved antique cars, working, and restoring cars.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 1 PM at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD 21078. Where a funeral service will be held at 2 PM.
Interment will be at Harford Memorial Gardens.
