Obituary for Rev. Col. Bayani Policarpio Mendoza

It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of our “Hero”, the Reverend Colonel Bayani Policarpio Mendoza. He joined the Almighty God after a brief illness at 12:33 PM, on Friday, the 27th day of August 2021, at Havre de Grace, Maryland, USA.
He was a dreamer of big dreams, visionary, adventurer, community leader, military officer, educator and academician, minister of the Lord Jesus Christ, and beloved family man. He diligently continued the work of his parents, Dr. & Mrs. Aurelio M. Mendoza. He will be laid to rest at the Mendoza Mausoleum in Catmon, Santa Maria, Bulacan, Philippines. Memorial services will be announced at a later time.
His hands were held tenderly by Dr. Marmen M. Mendoza (daughter), Mr. Bayani-Aurelio M. Mendoza, III “Bo” (son), and Dr. & Mrs. Ernesto-Mary Benita P. Mendoza (brother & his spouse). He was surrounded with love by his family from Mississippi, Dr. & Mrs. Armando-Ruth A. de la Cruz (sister and her spouse); from California, Mrs. Cynthia H. Mendoza & Matthieu Josiah Aurelio H. Mendoza, V (Bo’s spouse & son), Mrs. Carmen M. Herrera & Mrs. Jacinta M. Gerona (his sisters-in-law); from the Philippines, Dr. & Mrs. Aurelio-Ingrid Sol M. Mendoza, II “Jun” (son and his spouse), along with his grandchildren Aurelio-Akia Mendoza, IV, Bayani-Julian G. Mendoza, Jared-Julio G. Mendoza; Mr. & Mrs. Mark & Vaneza-Jane Roque and their son Tristan-Divan (his granddaughter and her spouse along with his great-grandson).
He will be remembered as a man of steel grip with a kind heart. He was light-hearted, spirited and fun-loving gentleman. Our Daddy and “Lolo the Great.” Your brother, mentor, colleague, and friend. He is “Bayani ng Lahat”, a hero of our time.
We SALUTE you!

“Well done thou good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of thy Lord”
Matthew 25:21
