Obituary for Robert Charles Persson Jr.
Robert Charles Persson, Jr., of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on March 10, 2020. He was 75.
Mr. Persson was born in Pittsburgh, PA, to Robert Charles Persson and Anna Hartle Persson. He was the devoted husband of 50 years to Jacqueline “Jackie” Persson, loving father of Ann Schaefer Persson Bennett and her husband Robert of Laurel, MD, and Elizabeth DeLyria and her husband Paul, of Grand Rapids, MI, and grandfather of Schaefer Rose DeLyria and Pierce DeLyria. He is also survived by 8 siblings.
Mr. Persson was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church, Knights of Columbus, Corpus Christi Council, and the Archaeological Society of the Northern Chesapeake. He retired as a mechanical engineer and then worked at Hardy’s Storage. Mr. Persson enjoyed building and working on computers and electronics and was known for his handiwork. He also enjoyed crossword puzzles.
A Private Mass of Resurrection will be at St. Joan of Arc Church, 222 South Law Street, Aberdeen, MD 21001. Father Willie Franken will officiate. Interment will be held at Good Samaritan Cemetery in Fair Oaks, PA.
