Obituary for Roxanne M. LaPaglia (Staley)

Roxanne M. LaPaglia of Churchville, MD passed away surrounded by the love of her family on March 11, 2015 at the Lorien Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 69. She was the wife of 30 years to Tom LaPaglia.

She was born in Baltimore, MD to the Late Guy and Bessie (Bloom) Staley. She was the mother to Jacinda Ewing and her husband Donald and Destiny LaPaglia and her FIANCÉ Brandon. She was the grandmother to Roman Fedele, Vincenzo Fedele, Megan Rhudy, Jordan Rhudy and Donald Ewing, III. She was the sister to Rita Pruitt and the late Guy Staley, Jr.

Mrs. LaPaglia was Miss Essex Middle River in 1965 and was a former model. She was featured in several magazine ads and was a pageant contestand in Miss Maryland and had placed 2nd. During her pagentry her talent was performing with Flaming Batons and dancing. She also the owner of the Blazin’ Bullmastiffs, who was well known for her breeding of Bullmastiffs for more than thirty years. Prior to breeding Bullmastiffs, she also had bred Great Danes. She was an avid lover of dogs and had even rescued Pitbulls and Bullmastiffs.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 6 P.M. at the Bethel Apostolic Church, 21 N Earlton Road Ext, Havre De Grace, MD 21078
