Obituary for Sandra Ellen Miller (Jones)
Sandra (Sandee) Ellen (Jones) Miller – (Gammy) age 75 of North East, MD passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021.
Sandee was born August 3, 1946, in Wilmington, DE to the late Evan L. Jones, Sr and Violet (Husfelt) Jones. She grew up in Elsmere and graduated from Conrad High School.
Sandee was a wonderful, fun, caring mother of two and a loving Gammy who adored spoiling “her girls.” Sandee was retired from U of D and enjoyed playing cards, eating a great steak, traveling, cruises and Disney. She was an avid Ravens fan who loved to spend time with her family. Gammy’s Girls were truly the love of her life and spending time with them was her greatest joy. Sandee was a loving, kind, and witty person who will be greatly missed.
Sandee is survived by devoted daughter Julie Moore, (Shawn Orr) of North East, MD and “Gammy’s Girls” – loving Granddaughter Maggie Harrison and twin Great Granddaughters Hayden and Piper Harrison, Havre de Grace, MD, Pauline Fitzgerald (Aunt), TX, Nephews Matt Jones and Great Nieces Maura and Chloe, North East, MD, Chris Jones, (Lori H) and Great Nephews Evan and Tyler, Wilmington, DE, Barbara Jones (sister in law), Elsmere, DE, Lynn Makowski (lifelong friend) and a host of cousins throughout the country.
In addition to her parents, Sandee was preceded in death by beloved son Jeffery Miller and brother Evan L. Jones, Jr. (Buddy).
