Obituary for Talmadge Fields

Talmadge Fields, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on August 21, 2022. He was 77.

Mr. Fields was born in Charleston, SC, to Frank H. Fields and Wilhelmina Dinkens Fields. He was the father of Dwayne Moore and Arthur Murray of Charleston, SC, Monique N. Rivera (Luis Rivera) of Havre de Grace, MD, and Charlene Morton (Albert Morton) of Aiken, SC, grandfather of Angelique Rivera, SSgt. Lashawn Dennis, Victor Gadsden, Stanley Dennis, Sgt. Nigee Dennis, Anton Fleming, Ramon Thomas, and Shadara Davis, great-grandfather of Nasuan Glover, Ayanna Fleming, Collin Thomas, Kaeleb David, Kehlani Davis, and Victor K. Gadsden. He was the brother of Franklin H. Fields, Jr., William D. Fields, Timothy Fields, Henry Fields, Paul J. Fields, David C. Fields, Anna Mae Dinkens, Catherine F. Wilson, and the late Francis P. Fields, Thelma Reid, Willinet Brown, Theresa Fields, and Mary E. Fields.

Mr. Fields graduated from Emmett Scott High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and retired from Sears and Roebuck, Co. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed traveling, cooking, watching sports and Western movies.

A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at 10 AM, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 615 Congress Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD 21078. The Mass will be Live-streamed via Facebook @ZellmanFuneralHome,P.A., or at www.zellmanfuneralhome.com. A viewing will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022, from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM at the church.
