Obituary for Thelma S. Thomas (Stokes)
Thelma S. Thomas, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on December 26, 2020. She was 98.
Mrs. Thomas was born in Annapolis, MD, to John and Mary Harrison Stokes. She was the loving mother of Earl Thomas, Priscilla Dietrich, and Bobby Stokes, grandmother of Gregory Dietrich and his wife Patricia and great-grandmother of Alyssa and Megan Dietrich. She was the sister of Robert Stokes, Edith Louise Roane, Patricia Dennison, and the late Mary Wilson, Charlotte Sullivan, Francis Bailey, and George Stokes.
Mrs. Thomas worked for C&P Telephone for 15 years, as well as Aberdeen Proving Ground and Perry Point VAMC, and also worked at the Maryland House Gift Shop for 10 years. She was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church, and was a member and very active with the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post 47.
Services will be private.
