Obituary for Thomas Harrison Davies Sr.
Thomas Harrison Davies, Sr. of Havre de Grace, MD passed away on August 2, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was the devoted husband of Jacqueline Ann Davies whom he was married to for 50 years.
Born in Upland, PA to the late Sidney and Alice Davies. He was the loving father of Georgiana Davies and her partner Alisha Testerman, and Thomas Davies, Jr., and his wife Dr. Christine Davies. He was the brother of the late Syndey Aaron and the late George Davies.
Mr. Davies was a graduate of the RCA Technical Institute, and he was a Veteran of the United States Army. Upon leaving the Army he worked at Sun Oil for six years working in their plumbing and pipe fitting division. He went on to work at Xerox as a technician for more than 25 years, where he retired.
Mr. Davies had been a leader in the Boy Scouts #967 and Cub Scouts. He enjoyed working as a plumber, electrician, car mechanic, and taking things apart just to figure out how to put them back together. He was amazing at fixing TV’s and enjoyed reading about how to repair electronics of all kinds. It was believed that “There was nothing he couldn’t fix.” As a youth he sang for the Princeton boys school choir and was also a member of the Methodist Church choir.
A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, August 14, 2023, from 1 PM to 3 PM at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD.
