Obituary for William T. Pruitt Sr.

William T.   Pruitt Sr.
William T. Pruitt, Sr., of Baltimore, MD, formerly of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017. He was 92.
Mr. Pruitt was born in Landrum, South Carolina, to William C. Pruitt and Dora Henson Pruitt. He was the husband of the late Bernice Opal Pruitt, and companion of Marie Windle. Mr. Pruitt was the loving father of William T. Pruitt, Jr., and his wife Laura of Tennessee, and the late Fred Pruitt, Bobby Pruitt, Dana Pollace, and Wanda Williams. He had 7 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Mr. Pruitt was the brother of the late Grady Pruitt, Stella Culberth, and Elsie Cox.
Mr. Pruitt served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 47, VFW Post 8126, and was Captain of the Havre de Grace Special Police. He enjoyed traveling.
A Graveside service will be held on Friday, September 22, 2017, at 10:00 AM, at Harford Memorial Gardens, 3839 Aldino Road, Aberdeen, MD. Pastor Ron Tabor will officiate. Online condolences may be made at www.zellmanfuneralhome.com.
