Obituary
Abel DeLaGarza, of Elkton, MD, passed away on January 19, 2024. He was 89 years old.
Mr. DeLaGarza was born in San Antonio, TX, to Abel H. DeLaGarza and Alice Cantu DeLaGarza. He was the devoted husband of the late Ann Dorothy DeLaGarza, loving father of Donna DeLaGarza, Richard DeLaGarza, and Jana O'Dor. Mr. DelaGarza had 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Richard DeLaGarza, Olga Ramos, and half-brother of Edward B. DeLaGarza, Michael DeLaGarza, Joe DeLaGarza, Celia Deptula, Pat Oakes, Margie Jones, Janie Gonzales, Therese DeLaGarza, and the late Edward DeLaGarza, Peter DeLaGarza, Marie Riojas, Delores Lopez, and Jamie Avila.
Mr. DeLaGarza retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years of service. He enjoyed watching sports, attending his grandchildren's sporting events, and was an avid Ravens fan. Mr. DeLaGarza was also talented at drawing. He loved animals, especially his dogs.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 11 AM, at Harford Memorial Gardens, 3839 Aldino Road, Aberdeen, MD 21001.
