Albert Joseph Bowers, of Havre de Grace, Maryland, passed away on June 27, 2023. He was 93 years old.

Mr. Bowers was born in Chase, Maryland, to Milton and Mary Bowers. He was the devoted husband of June Bowers for 70 years, loving father of Joe (Deb) Bowers, Pat (John) Stanley, Deb (Dave) Gaston, Cathy (Don) Pringle, and Karen (Rusty) Lindsay. He was the grandfather of eight and great-grandfather of three. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings.

Mr. Bowers retired from the Ballistic Research Lab at Aberdeen Proving Ground. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Havre de Grace Elks Lodge. Together, he and his brother, Gil, built homes for their families. Lifelong hobbies included goose hunting, bowling, and crabbing. After his retirement, he and June spent winters in Florida where he won awards for bowling, pitching horse shoes, and playing pool.

A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Monday, July 3, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 615 Congress Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
