Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Andrew "Andy" Craig Mitchell, who left this world on January 6, 2025. Born on December 23, 1978, in Towson, Maryland, Andy touched the lives of all who knew him with his kindness, integrity, and dedication. He was a proud Contracting Officer in the U.S. Army Foreign Military Sales, where he served with unwavering commitment and passion.
Andy was the beloved son of Carroll and Frederick Mitchell, and boyfriend of 8 years to Brandy Michelle Holcomb, who will forever cherish his memory. His warm heart and friendly spirit made him a cherished presence in the lives of family and friends.
Andy graduated from Havre de Grace High School in 1997. He was talented in many sports, especially skiing, tennis, soccer, and later in life, golf. He was known to be an excellent cook. He enjoyed Paint By Numbers and Diamond Paintings, and was an avid reader, writer and editor. Andy also was a fan of cars. He will always be remembered for his generosity and compassion for others.
The memorial service celebrating Andy's life will be held on January 18, 2025, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 927 Pulaski Highway, Havre de Grace, MD, at 1:00 PM. The service will be Live-Streamed via Facebook @ZellmanFuneralHome,P.A., or can be found on his tribute page via the funeral home website. A Memorial visitation will follow from 2-4 PM. It presents an opportunity to honor his remarkable spirit and share in the memories that will forever live on in our hearts.
Andy's radiant spirit and laughter will be deeply missed, but his legacy of compassion and service will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. In our sorrow, let us come together to remember a life well-lived, filled with love, dedication, and meaningful connections.
Andy was preceded in death by his brother, Matthew Burns Mitchell.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Humane Society of Harford County or Harford County Boys and Girls Club of Aberdeen.
